USA 2001 Itinerary

Background

This 10-day vacation to New York and Washington was ordered in august, when I got 'an offer you cannot refuse' from Icelandair.

The plane left Oslo tuesday 25. September, exactly 2 weeks (on the hour) after the terrorist attack on Pentagon and the World Trade Center. And I was home again friday 5. October, the day before the start of US bombings in Afghanistan.

Transportation

I flew with Icelandair, between Oslo Airport and Baltimore Washington International Airport with a change of flights in Keflavik, Iceland.

I used Amtrak trains for the trips from Baltimore to Washington, Washington to New York, and New York to Baltimore.

Accomodation

I stayed at the Washington Youth Hostel and New York Youth Hostel.
